Thoovana thumbikal (Butterflies of the spraying rain) is adapted from his novel 'Udhakappola' (A bubble in water) (1987). Without doubt I can say that it is one of the best movies in Malayalam Cinema and also the favourite movie of many, especially men.

His heroins are so independent in thinking and brave in their decisions. The story revolves round three main characters : Jayakrishnan (Mohanlal), Clara(Sumalatha) and Radha(Parvathy).
